Vegan Guide to the CDT

I’ll be updating this as I hike the CDT in  2016 with resupply and restaurant information for badass kindass vegan hikers ☺  Please comment with any extra information!

New Mexico

Lordsburg

Nada! Restaurants and grocery are very limited. I recommend sending or leaving a box here.

Silver City – lots of options here!

The Silver City Co-op has lots of great healthy vegan resupply options, as well as frozen and fresh food you can grab for lunch. Take it 2 doors down to the marketplace to eat, grab a coffee and use the wifi.

Vickis eatery has vegan options listed on their menu.

The Little Toad Brewery has a vegan curry!

Pie Town

No vegan options. Send a box to the Toaster House.

Grants

No restaurants with vegan options that I found. I did manage to buy a full resupply from Walmart.

Cuba

Nothing here. Send a box!

Montana

Many Glacier

The Many Glacier lodge has vegan options at the restaurant, as does the Swiftcurrent Motor Lodge. I had stirfry and chili at the swiftcurrent, and the menu has smoothies available for breakfast. Some resupply options in the store but National Park prices!

St Marys Lake

Managed to create a vegan breakfast at the Mary Lodge from the ‘sides’ on the menu. Nothing exciting.

East Glacier

Lunas has vegan soup on the menu, Two Medicine Grill has a vegan vege & hummus bagel (they couldn’t guarantee the vege burger was vegan), and after trial and error had a vegan burrito from Serranos (be very specific about no sour cream, no cheese, no butter. ‘No dairy at all please’, resulted in sour cream in mine first try).

Brownies and The Glacier Park Trading company have a small selection of resupply- not huge options.

Lincoln

Nothing. Ended up eating a cheesiness pizzaa from the Pit Stop. Grocery has limited resupply.
