Larapinta Trail 2017 Gear List

My gear on the Larapinta worked really well. Absolutely in love with my Gossamer Gear mariposa pack that I picked up last year before I jumped on the Bibbulmun Track.
A few changes I would make:

  • Remember my headnet! I left it at home accidentally. It wasn’t drastic but would have been useful a couple of nights when I camped near waterholes
  • Take the neoair xlite womens sleeping pad instead of the xtherm. The extra length on the xtherm was really annoying, but I’ve somehow lost my xlite so I’ll have to grab another before my next hike
  • Take extra fixomull. Normally I can tape feet and any chafe with the fixomull and leave it until my next stop, but dust was getting in around the edges so I had to keep replacing it on the hike.
